Dear fellow Lions,
As I stand here today, my heart is filled with gratitude and pride. Serving as the President of the Lions Club of Subang Jaya has been a deeply meaningful journey. One I will cherish for the rest of my life.
When I first began this term, I introduced the theme “Love and Care, Serve with Joy” (LCSJ). It was not just a motto, but a reminder of why we are here. We serve because we care. We come together not only to give back to the community, but also to lift each other up, sharing in the joy of fellowship and the satisfaction of meaningful service. With this spirit of love, care, and joy, I believe it is what will carry us forward for many more to come.
I hope I have fulfilled my duties as your president, but I know I could not have done any of it without your support. Each project we accomplished, every event we organized, every person we reached, it was all possible because we worked as a team, united by the heart to serve. Along the way, I was once reminded by a senior member:
“No matter how far you go, always remember the original intention—why you joined the club in the first place.”
That advice stayed with me throughout my presidency. It reminded me to lead with purpose, to serve with sincerity, and to never lose sight of the passion that brought me into this club.
As I now prepare to pass the baton to our incoming 44th President, Lion Tan Yuan Chung, I believe he will continue to bring our club to new heights, with fresh ideas and dedication.
Lastly, thank you all for giving me the honor and opportunity to serve as your President for the 2024/2025 term. It has been a true privilege and an unforgettable journey filled with love, care, and joy.
